Founded as priory in the 13th century by an Order of the Carmelites, valued throughout, the hotel is close to the M11, the A11 and Whittlesford Parkway Train Station. Duxford Chapel originally formed part of The Red Lion Hotel. The Red Lion Hotel's exquisite beams, and above all, hand carved by the monks, are still as strong today as they were over 800 years ago. 7 km, south of Cambridge and 8 miles, which is 13 km, from Saffron Walden.
