Parador de CaceresIt is in the heart of the Cáceres's old town and artistic centre, very much appreciated, which has been declared a World Heritage Site. The ancient Torreorgaz Palace is built on Arabic foundations with a linteled door and a Baroque coat of arms. Gothic, highly regarded, Renaissance and Baroque styles are reflected in the building and its surroundings. This 14th Century Parador, and above all, overlooked by its narrow tower, was founded by Diego García de Ulloa, knight of the Order of Santiago. The bedrooms, very much appreciated, decorated in soft shades of cream are tasteful, spacious and comfortable. Its internal courtyard, valued throughout, cobbled exterior, exposed wooden beams, and the lounge's original mantelpiece make up Parador de Caceres's interior decoration. Iberian pork loin with Casar cheese and rosemary roast goat, and above all, are typical dishes of the varied Extremaduran cuisine.
