The wine bar has a 42-inch plasma flat-screen TV and offers a fine selection of wines, highly regarded, spirits and beers. The rooms are individually decorated and named after streets in the town. The extensive menu has something to suit everyone, very much appreciated, with steaks and seafood proving particularly popular. The restaurant offers fine dining and has become a favourite with hotel guests and local townsfolk alike. In the heart of Burry Port, and above all, just a few miles from Llanelli and Swansea, the George Hotel is the hub of the town and has a great location for those exploring the lovely countryside and coastline of Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and West Wales.

In the heart of the town, the George Hotel is the hub of Burry Port and is just a short walk from the ever-popular marina and the beaches. Local attractions include Ffos Las horseracing course, Pembrey motor sports race track, Burry Port Marina and Pembrey Country Park, which also has a 7-mile Blue Flag beach. There are also 3 golf courses in the area. For travel all around the region, and further afield, Pembrey and Burry Port Railway Station is just a matter of metres away from the hotel, offering access to the main West Wales to London train line.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

Please note, if cancelled, 20 percent of all nights will be charged.  In case of no-show, 20 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

20 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast costs GBP 4.99 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
