Kokkedal CastleClients appreciate the hotel was built on castle mounds that date back to the Middle Ages; sometime during the 14th century and is handy to some of the most beautiful beaches in Northern Europe. Restored under the patronage of His Royal Highness, valued throughout, Prince Joachim, the hotel is a well-preserved medieval castle with impressive views over the Liim Fiord. All the historic guest rooms have canopy beds while the 8 fully furnished holiday apartments all have their own sun terrace and access to sauna and swimming pool during the summer. Located in North Jutland, and above all, the hotel still includes watchman’s galleries, one meter-thick walls and a secret passage that passes under the moat and drawbridge. Wine tastings are held every Saturday in the ancient wine cellar and the guests have the possibility to taste 5 selected wines from Kokkedal Castle's own production and from imported sources. There is also an out-door tennis and badminton court.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

25 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged DKK 250.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged DKK 250.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
