Rooms

The hotel offers a range of accommodation including single rooms, double/twin rooms and superior rooms with king-size beds or 4-poster beds. All of the attractive and well appointed rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with all the modern facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base. Please note that children staying in their own rooms are charged at the full room rates. The hotel does not provide cots. If you would like to bring travel cots, please inform the hotel at the time of booking, as only certain rooms can accommodate cots. You can inform the hotel, either by using the comments field when making your reservation or by contacting the hotel directly, using the contact details supplied on your confirmation email. Guests should also inform the hotel directly if they wish to bring Z-beds.

Hotel details

A private car park is available and free parking is available in Ranscombe Road. Directions and a permit will be issued on your arrival at the hotel. This friendly and welcoming hotel consists of 6 expertly developed period fisherman's cottages. Much of the building’s traditional charm has been carefully preserved and, as you would expect, each of the rooms is unique and individual, with its own character and charm. After a hard days sightseeing snuggle up by the fire in our comfortable lounge or try one of the hotel’s 2 bars. The Main Mast residents’ bar is ideal for a cosy drink and a chat or you can enjoy the atmosphere of the more vibrant Ernie Lister public bar. The hotel also houses the Prince William meeting room and private dining room, which can accommodate around 25 people.

Food & Beverages

The elegant and yet intimate restaurant is open to residents and non-residents alike. The restaurant boasts an excellent à la carte menu alongside specialities of the day, which take full advantage of seasonal local produce. The daily specials regularly include fish and seafood dishes made with locally sourced, freshly caught fish. The comprehensive wine list offers a selection of fine wines to complement your meal. The restaurant is also able to cater for parties in either the Quayside Restaurant or the Prince William private dining room.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 60 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  All children from 5 to 15 years are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
