Area information

Set at the foot of the Wurmberg mountain, the spa town of Braunlage, known as "The Heart of the Harz", boasts excellent winter sports facilities. The ski jump ramp at the summit of the Wurmberg is also used as an observation tower and restaurant. In fine weather, you can enjoy wonderful views of the Brocken mountain range and Upper Harz National Park.

Travel information

If you are travelling from the North, exit the A2 motorway (Dortmund-Berlin) at Braunschweig-Nord. Continue on motorway A391 towards Bad Harzburg. At the Braunschweig-Süd motorway junction, change onto motorway A395 and continue to Bad Harzburg. Continue to Braunlage on route B4. Alternatively, exit the A7 motorway (Hanover-Göttingen) at Salzgitter. Drive towards Goslar/Bad Harzburg, then continue towards Braunlage. If you are travelling from the South, exit the A7 motorway at Göttingen-Nord. Continue to Braunlage via Herzberg/Bad Lauterberg on route B27. The hotel can organise a shuttle bus or taxi service on request.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 2.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 16.00 per night and person for extra beds.  One child from 4 to 14 years is charged EUR 11.00 per night and person in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
