Hotel details

During your stay you will have complimentary use of the leisure facilities at the Borrowdale's sister hotel, the Lodore Falls, which is only a 5 minute walk up the road. The hotel has a small number of dog-friendly bedrooms available for well behaved dogs. Please contact the hotel directly for information about dog-friendly accommodation

Food & Beverages

During the day, the lounge bar and conservatory are open for light lunches and afternoon teas. In the evening, a splendid 6-course silver-service dinner can be enjoyed in the restaurant, with coffee and mints served in the lounges. For lighter meals and snacks, the bar is open until 19:30. If you are arriving or leaving on a Sunday, why not try the hotel's renowned Sunday lunch? But, remember to book your table well in advance, as it is particular popular with both locals and residents.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 80.00 will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 80 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
