All our rooms have undergone a complete renovation, combining old-world charm with the most modern comforts, and assuring guests of a restful and relaxing stay. When it comes to distinguished dining and wining, the Bellevue Palace offers the finest “Cuisine d’aujourd’hui” creations, prepared to perfection and enhanced by the exclusive ambiance of Berne’s only 5-star luxury hotel. Simply select the restaurant style and setting which matches your mood. A delicious buffet breakfast is served in “La Terrasse” every morning from 06:30 to 11:00. For late risers we are happy to serve continental breakfast in the comfort of your own room. Our room service is available daily from 06:00 to 24:00 (reduced menu from midnight). Simply select from our wide range of delicious dishes and list of fine wines.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs CHF 30.00 per 24 hours.  Internet via modem is available in the entire hotel and costs CHF 20.00 per 24 hours.

Area information

Berne is an ideal departure point for many attractive excursion destinations, such as the Alpine resort of Zermatt, picturesque Lucerne, the Jungfraujoch (Europe’s highest-altitude railway station) and the lovely Lake Geneva region. But as Switzerland’s capital, our scenic city is also a major attraction in its own right. Visitors can’t resist the 6 kilometres of picturesque arcades, the medieval magic of our historic old town on the River Aare, the legendary Bearpits and all those beautiful boutiques. Berne has also succeeded in combining the traditional and the trendy when it comes to culture - for example, classical music, dialect rock, the late Gothic cathedral and the prestigious Paul Klee art collection. No wonder Berne was made the capital of Switzerland.

Travel information

Switzerland’s central location in the heart of Europe makes it easily accessible (within a few hours’ travelling time) from all major European cities. Many international airlines fly to Zurich and Geneva Airports and Basle, from where there are frequent rail links to Berne. Berne itself also has an airport with European flight connections. The city is linked to the main European motorway and rail networks, and from Berne all major cities and centres in Switzerland are within easy travelling distance. Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

3.6 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  CHF 2.70 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs CHF 36.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children from 2 to 14 years are charged CHF 70.00 per night and person for extra beds.  One older child or adult is charged CHF 100.00 per night and person when using existing bedding.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
