Breakfast is served between 07:00 and 11:00. A full cooked breakfast is offered, together with omelettes, cereals, fresh fruit, homemade muffins, pain au chocolat, fresh baked bread and more. The highly acclaimed restaurant serves classic British cuisine, made using only the finest ingredients. Reservations are essential. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

By Car - Travelling south on the A21, Bluemans Lane is located on the left at Kent Street, 1 km south of Sedlescombe Golf Course. - It is the first house on the right, 100 metres from the junction of Bluemans Lane and the A21. Postcode-based satellite navigation systems will take you to the wrong end of Bluemans Lane.

Area information

Claverton House is an ideal base from which to explore the area steeped in 1066 history. Battle, with its abbey ruins, is 4 miles (6.4 km) away; and Rye with its antique shops and tea houses is nearby. Beaches within 8 miles (12.9 km) include Winchelsea, Camber Sands and Hastings. Visit the many National Trust properties, castles and country houses. There are also scenic walking, cycling and bird-watching opportunities nearby. Vineyards are within walking distance and are ideal for picnicking. The bar and restaurant at Sedlescombe Golf Club are 0.5 miles away and there is are a shop and pub 2 miles away.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

50 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 14 days prior to arrival and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 9.95 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
