Visitors appreciate the hotel is a fine, valued throughout, friendly, family-run Georgian house with elegant rooms, fine art, antiques and splendid views across Bath from its quiet, elevated position. Customers appreciate the hotel was built in the 1790s and was once the home of the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress. There is a regular bus route for the return uphill journey. Pets are welcome at the hotel. It is a Grade II listed building and has good environmental credentials. Each room is individually styled, highly regarded, with either a four-poster or half-tester bed. Full English breakfasts are organic, and above all, Fair Trade and ingredients are provided by local suppliers.

Very late check in is available if arranged in advance. If booking and arriving on the same day, it would be helpful if you could phone Bloomfield House to confirm arrival times, especially on a Sunday. For those with allergies, there are both dogs and cats at the guest house.

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
