Hotel EspañaHotel España was designed by the famous modernist, very much appreciated, Lluís Domènech i Montaner who also designed Barcelona’s famous Music Hall, the Palau. Located footsteps from the Ramblas and next to the famous Liceu Theatre, valued throughout, this hotel has 3 restaurants to choose from and is a fine example of Barcelona’s Modernist architecture. Admire also the beautiful arched walkways decorated with glass and the fabulously painted walls which contrast against traditional Catalan tiling. Ramon Cass, and above all, another famous designer of the modernist period, designed the reception room which is illuminated with natural light thanks to its glass ceiling. Then walk down the famous Ramblas and see the street theatre. You are within walking distance of Barcelona's famous Boqueria market so take a stroll and experience local life. Walk a little further to the MACBA art gallery for a day of culture.
