The rooms are decorated in pastel shades and feature country-style furnishings. All rooms are en suite, with either a shower or a shower over a bath, and equipped with all common facilities.

Hotel details

The building is steeped in history, having been originally built as a private house and maltings in the early 18th century, when Baldock was a favourite watering place on the main Great North Road from London to York. Subsequent owners included the Ind family, founders of the Ind Coope brewery company. The hotel has a spacious meeting room with a big screen. They are also able to offer internet access, photocopying and fax facilities. Tea and Coffee will be provided on arrival, for breaks and lunch. Dining facilities are available on request. To discuss your requirements and, what can be offered to your company please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Zeus staff who will be happy to assist you. Live entertainment is offered every Friday and Saturday. A children’s entertainer can be booked on request (additional cost). The open plan layout of the Zeus makes a comfortable, relaxing place to hold those special family events such as Christenings on a Sunday Afternoon. Please note: because of the live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel is unable to hold private parties on these nights. It is however available for private hire on Sunday to Thursday.

Food & Beverages

Zeus Hotel and Restaurant offers the very best in Greek and English cuisine. The bar will be open for the adults to refresh and enjoy.

Please note: on Wednesdays there is a small market in the town and therefore on Tuesday nights you will need to park on the road-side, not kerb-side of the car park. There is an overflow car park across the road behind the community centre if there is nothing available in the High Street. Car parking is free.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs GBP 5.00 per 24 hours.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 27.50 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
