The Hotel Traube Tonbach offers 170 spacious rooms and suites decorated in country house style. All of the rooms feature high-quality furnishings, elegant bathrooms and a comfortable seating area. High-speed VDSL internet access is available for an additional surcharge. The rooms located in the Kohlwald building can be found on the opposite side of the street. Simply cross this quiet street to reach the main building and the large spa area.

The Hotel Traube Tonbach has been a family-run hotel since the late 18th century. The hotel’s wellness area is 4000 square metres in size, and features indoor swimming pools, an outdoor heated pool with a Jacuzzi, saunas, igloos, steam rooms and a fitness room. Function rooms are available for parties and events.

Food & Beverages

The hotel's Schwarzwaldstube restaurant has been awarded 3 Michelin stars and 19.5 Gault Millau points. Run by Harald Wohlfahrt, the restaurant is among the finest in Europe. From Wednesday to Sunday, you can sample delicious French cuisine amid a sophisticated atmosphere here. Reservation is essential. Awarded 16 Gault Millau points, the Köhlerstube restaurant serves a tasty range of creative international dishes within an elegant atmosphere. A variety of set menus are available, or you can order à la carte. Hearty regional specialities are served in the cosy Bauernstube. The Silberberg restaurant offers imaginative buffets and set menus which change daily. On Saturdays, you can enjoy a 7-course candlelit meal here.

Guests wishing to dine at the Schwarzwaldstube gourmet restaurant should book a table in advance to avoid disappointment.

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and charges are applicable.  Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 4.50 per day.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.60 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.  Half board costs EUR 22.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 7 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  All children under 13 years are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All children under 17 years are charged EUR 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 75.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
