The Schwarzes Roß caters to travel groups of up to 40 people. The guest house’s colourful event calendar includes guided tours of the Fichtelgebirge mountain range, hiking trips, as well as Carnival and New Year’s Eve celebrations. There are also meeting and function rooms for up to 110 people.

Food & Beverages

A rich breakfast buffet awaits you in the morning. Treat yourself to delicious Franconian specialities and classic German cuisine in the hotel’s rustic Rössl-Stube or Festsaal hall. Freshly prepared vegetarian meals are also available. In fine weather, you can dine in the shady beer garden.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 12:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.00 city/tourist tax per person per night is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 14 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
