By Public Transport Ayr's railway station provides easy access to Prestwick International Airport (5 minutes) and Glasgow International Airport (one hour). Ayr's bus station provides easy access around the town with additional links to Glasgow and Edinburgh. By Boat When travelling from Ireland, Ayr is convenient for the Troon, Stranraer and Cairnryan ferries.

Area information

Ayr is located at the heart of Burns Country, on the very route taken by Tam O'Shanter to Alloway in Burns' famous poem. The B&B is just minutes from the Brig O'Doon at Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns. Chalmers is ideal for an overnight stay if attending a wedding at local hotels such as the Brig O'Doon, Fairfield House, Western House and the Savoy Park. Chalmers is located within 30 minutes of some of the best golf courses in the world, including Tornberry, Royal Troon, Old Prestwick, Dundonald Links (Loch Lomond), Western Gailes and Irvine Bogside. Ayr Racecourse is a 5-minute taxi ride away. From Ayr's lovely sandy beach you can enjoy views of the Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and beyond. From the seafront, you can follow the promenade southwards to the River Doon estuary or northwards to the mouth of the River Ayr, passing the children’s play area, indoor pool and leisure centre. Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is included in the room rate.  Full English breakfast costs GBP 3.00 per person.
