The mountain railway is located here and the cable-car lift transports guests to the top of the 1420m high Åreskutan top. Here a wide variety of games, very much appreciated, books and magazines are available. Indoors Hotel Diplomat's guests will enjoy the library where the walls are covered with turn-of-the-century paintings. Rooms located in the older part of Åregården enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and Lake Åresjön. The interior design of the modern guest rooms reflect the traditional, and above all, warm style of the Jämtland region and many details from the building's early 1900s origins have been preserved. Guests can enjoy free admission to one of Åre's most popular nightclubs, very much appreciated, the Country Club. The 22 m² double rooms are situated in the newer wing of Åregården and the larger double rooms can be converted into family rooms for guests travelling with small children. At the hotel access to the swimming pool and separate saunas is included. The brand new Åregården Larder & Wine bar offers a comfortable lounge atmosphere and the Åregården Bar & Bistro presents traditional Swedish cuisine and a waffle-menu.

In summertime the hotel is open during the period 07.07 to 31.08. However guests need to note that during this time the sauna, pool, nightclub and restaurant are closed and only lighter dishes can be served. The reception will also have limited opening hours from 08:00 until 11:00 and from 16:00 until 20:00. Also please note that during winter guests must choose stays from Sunday to Sunday, or Thursday to Sunday, or Sunday to Thursday.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

12 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged SEK 150.00 per night and person for cots.  All children under 15 years are charged SEK 150.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged SEK 350.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
