DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM ADELAIDE AIRPORT TO THE FIRESTATION INN
Depart the terminal via Sir Richard Williams Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive. Follow this road, through about five sets of main traffic lights or for approximately 10-15 minutes (depending on the traffic).
At the sixth set of traffic lights, at West Terrace, turn LEFT. Merge into the right lanes and at the end of the street turn RIGHT onto North Terrace. Merge into the left lane.
After the pedestrian traffic lights outside the Skycity Casino, turn LEFT at the next intersection at Parliament house – King William Road. Take beautiful King William Rd north, cross over the bridge over the River Torrens, past the Adelaide Oval, past St Peters Anglican Cathedral and up the hill where the road becomes O’Connell St – North Adelaide’s restaurant and café precinct.
From O’Connell St, turn RIGHT down Tynte St (a street with beautiful restored heritage cottages), which is one after Archer St, and look for the Victorian Fire Station 2-storey building with ‘FIRE STATION’ painted in red on the left hand side of the street. The Fire Station Inn comprises of the Fire Engine Suite, The Residency Penthouse Suite and The Loggia Suite.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM COONAWARRA, NARACOORTE, BORDERTOWN, (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) THE GRAMPIANS (VICTORIA) REGION ETC (DUKES HWY, WESTERN HWY [A8] & RIDDOCH HWY [A66])
As you drive along the Dukes Highway [A8, A1], you will eventually join onto the Princes Freeway [M1]. This occurs after Tailem Bend, just before Murray Bridge.
DIRECTIONS FROM MILLICENT, ROBE, KINGSTON S.E, ROBE (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) ETC (PRINCES HWY [B1], SOUTHERN PORTS HWY [B101])
Princes Highway merges left onto Dukes Highway at Tailem Bend. Follow this highway,which eventually joins the Princes Freeway just before Murray Bridge.Keep driving along the Princes Freeway until you reach Adelaide. The Princes Freeway will take you past Mount Barker, Hahndorf, Bridgewater, Stirling and Crafers. After Crafers, the freeway will take you through a tunnel and around winding turns to the outskirts of Residential Adelaide.
When you reach Adelaide you will come to a 4-way intersection. Continue straight onto Glen Osmond Rd [A1] - follow the signs towards the city. This road will take you approximately 5 kilometres (or 3.1 miles) to South Terrace, which you turn LEFT onto!
You will need to go straight over the Unley Rd intersection, but then turn RIGHT at the next intersection – King William St. Drive past some of Adelaide’s extensive parklands, follow this road through Adelaide city, over the Torrens River and up into North Adelaide, past the Anglican Cathedral, St Peters, where the road winds to the left up the hill and beautiful King William Rd becomes O’Connell St – North Adelaide’s restaurant
and café precinct.
