Your host, Denis Matray, ex-student of Paul Bocuse, indulges guests with culinary delights. We do our utmost to delight our restaurant guests with first-class cuisine that presents a feast for your eye as well as for the palate. Our international and regional specialities, gourmet menus are also served in a mouth-watering manner. Enjoy your meal with a fine selection of wine from our extensive cellar. And after a peaceful night's sleep, our generous breakfast buffet will set you up for the day.

Travel information

The Hotel Holiday is situated in a central, but quiet location (about 8 minutes walk from the centre of Zermatt). The “Sunnegga Express”, which takes you to Sunnegga, Blauherd and Rothorn, is only 200 metres from the hotel. The slope from Sunnegga down to Zermatt brings you right to the Hotel. The Gornergrat train station and the bus stop to Klein Matterhorn are a short walking distance.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 80.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
