Area information The Royal York Hotel is situated in a multi-purpose city with a rich history. You will find both historical buildings and modern architecture. The old mills and rurally well-known rosarium are a short distance from the shopping streets and the market square. A visit to the Fontana nature bath is also certainly worthwhile. The city is on the border of the neighbouring country of Germany, with plenty of picturesque villages. You can also take a ferry to Borkum.
