Rooms

All bedrooms are en suite and non smoking. Crisp white bed linen and towels are in all rooms, together with good quality duvets and pillows. We have king-size beds, doubles and singles, and upon request, twin beds. Our rooms are spacious with some on the top floor having a marvellous view of the fells. Many rooms have original Victorian features including pitch pine doors and sash windows. Drying and ironing facilities are available. There is free Wi-Fi internet access available downstairs.

Originally built around 1870, this magnificent Victorian property retains many original features and is bursting with character. All the rooms have a light, airy feel and the cosy lounge is a relaxing place to enjoy a drink from the bar, or simply to chill-out. Games and literature provided.

Food & Beverages

Chef-proprietor Chris Blaydes, master chef of GB, has brought Jerichos Restaurant into The Waverley. Jerichos has currently been awarded 2 AA Rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide, and is highly rated in the current Good Food Guide, Hardens and Michelin guides. We have an extensive wine list and are passionate about what we do, which is to give you a memorable dining experience. Breakfast is served in the contemporary dining room which provides a relaxing start to your day. Choose from a selection of cereals, home-made fresh fruit salad, freshly-baked bread, fruit juice and an a la carte breakfast menu. All meals are prepared using quality ingredients and, of course, Chris everything is made to order.

All bedrooms at The Waverley are on the first and second floors. Unfortunately, there is no lift service, only stairs. The residence is non-smoking throughout.

Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, the first night will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children older than 5 years are welcome.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
