With award-winning gardens, very much appreciated, the hotel is a grand Victorian residence ideally located for a visit to the Lake District. This guest house was built in the mid-19th century using Lakeland stone. In recent years, highly regarded, the hotel has been tastefully restored and renovated to include luxuries you might not expect in a guest house. Martin and Sue welcome you to their friendly and cosy home. All guests have free use of nearby leisure facilities, which is 5 minutes' walk, . There are en suite bedrooms, valued throughout, 2 guest lounges and a hidden garden where you can enjoy a drink from the well-stocked cellar. Clients appreciate the hotel generally operates a 2 or 3-night minimum-stay policy. Visitors appreciate the hotel has a large off-road car park and is 8 minutes' walk from Windermere centre and train station and 10 minutes' walk from Lake Windermere.

Travel information From the South: - Follow the M6 north, exit at junction 36 and follow the A591 for Windermere. - At Windermere continue on the A591 for Ambleside and we are situated on the left 200 metres after St Mary's Church. From the North: - Follow the M6 south, exit at junction 40 and follow the A66 for Keswick. - Follow the A591 south past Lake Thirlmere and Grasmere to Windermere. - At the mini roundabout continue straight on, and we are situated on the right just a few hundred metres beyond the junction. By coach and rail: Regular buses pass the guest house, and Windermere station is only a 10 minute walk away, which connects quickly with the main west coast Inter-City line at Oxenholme, Kendal.
