Rooms

Individually designed rooms, some with lake views, many with king size beds, all rooms ensuite with bath and shower, decorated to a high standard with quality furnishings. CD/Hifi , library of CDs for guests to borrow, satellite TVs, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser presses or iron and ironing boards, hairdryers and bathrobes.

Cancellation policy

A deposit equal to the first night's stay is required to confirm the reservation. This is refunded for all cancellations up to 14 days prior to arrival, and also within 14 days if the room is resold. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Child policy

All children are welcome. Some superior and deluxe rooms are large enough to accommodate an extra bed and we also have a family suite with a pullout sofa bed which is suitable for 1 adult/larger child or 2 small children. Standard rooms cannot accomodate extra beds. Up to 50% off for children in their own room subject to availability. Restaurant: childrens meals are available, but regretfully no children under 7 are allowed in the restaurant after 19.00 hours.

Area information England's Lake District is one of the most beautiful corners of Britain containing England's largest lake and highest mountain. Poets and artists were inspired by the senery and many of their former residences are open to the public for tours including Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's home and inspiration for Peter Rabbit; John Ruskin's home, Brantwood; William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage as well as many historic castles and gardens. Outdoor sports such as walking, sailing, rock climbing and horse riding are also popular. Travel information Linthwaite is situated just outside the twin towns of Windermere and Bowness, in the heart of the Lake District and yet with easily accessible. Windermere has a railway station with regular connections to Manchester International Airport. By car Linthwaite is 20 minutes drive from exit 36 of the M6 motorway, and around 90 minutes drive from Manchester and Liverpool airports. Edinburgh and Glasgow are 3 hours drive and London is 4-5 hours drive. The Lake District is a perfect midway point between London and Scotland.
