Rooms

The Hotel Schild has 28 spacious rooms and one apartment, some with adjoining terrace (on request). Hotel Schild is a completely non-smoking hotel. In addition to the comfortable atmosphere, all rooms provide individually adjustable air condition, free Internet access, satellite TV with more than 50 national and international stations, and all common facilities. All our rooms are equipped with a bathtub. Some of the rooms have an additional shower and a bidet. Baby cots are available upon request (free of charge). Extra beds in each room type are available at an additional cost. Children up to 6 years stay free of charge when sharing the room and bed with 2 adults. The children's breakfast (up to 6 years) can be booked in the hotel (additional cost). Children's meals are available in the bistro 24 hours, and your own children's food can be prepared in the bistro around the clock.

Our hotel garden is a place of rest and relaxation and features a sunbathing lawn right beside a spacious terrace. In the garden you will find our renovated playground with trampoline, slide and various swings. Our indoor spa with sauna, steam bath and relaxation room offers just the right atmosphere you need to unwind and rest. The use of the indoor spa is free of charge.

Food & Beverages

Start your day with the extensive breakfast buffet in the Café Hotel Schild and enjoy a typical "Viennese melange" or an Italian espresso, which will give you the strength for your day. In addition to our breakfast buffet, our hotel bar/bistro offers snacks, seasonal selected dishes and drinks around the clock.

New in the Hotel Schild: Since 01 May 2008, the hotel offers its own children's playground in the green garden. The hotel bar is now open from 00:00-24:00. Drinks, snacks, ice cream and selected seasonal dishes are available around the clock. Disabled people are very welcome in our hotel, but we do not offer the official status "suitable for the disabled". All rooms and public areas are reachable by wheelchair.

Internet

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.  Wired internet is available in public areas and is free of charge. 

Parking

Private parking is possible on site and costs EUR 10.00 per day.

Pets are not allowed.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  2.8 % city/tourist tax per person per night is included. 

Meal Plan

Breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.
