Rooms

As standard in each lodge, you can expect full self-catering facilities, to include an oven/grill unit, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery. Within the comfort of your living area you will find a TV, VCR, DVD and CD System. Kitchen, living and dining areas are open plan. Bedding is provided in all lodges with at least one set at double. All lodges are non-smoking and include unlimited access to Brockwood Hall's leisure facilities. Some lodges also include a sauna and dishwasher. Lodges have either a veranda, patio or balcony. Towels are available for an additional cost and pets can stay for an additional charge.

Brockwood Hall has 32 self-catering Norwegian lodges of 8 different styles, with capacity for 4-8 sleepers. Within Brockwood Hall you will find your family friendly bar, restaurant, Caffe Torelli, pool room and reception. To the front of the Hall is your outside seating patio for all year round relaxing and al fresco dining. All of this is found within the beautiful Whicham Valley, an untouched area of the Lake District National Park, creating fantastic landscapes and scenery.

Area information In the midst of unspoilt natural beauty, some of Cumbria's finest towns, villages and attractions are only a scenic drive away, including: Millom (9.5 km/6 miles), Haverigg & Silecroft (11 km/7 miles), Coniston (22.5 km/14 miles south), Ulverston (30.5 km/19 miles), Barrow-in-Furness (35 km/22 miles), Windermere and Bowness (47 km/29 miles south-west), Whitehaven (50 km/31 miles south), Kendal (58 km/36 miles west). Travel information By Car: - Leave the M6 at junction 36, signposted Barrow-in-Furness and head west along the A590 (still following signs for Barrow-in-Furness). - At Brettargh Holt roundabout, take the 1st exit (Barrow-in-Furness). - At Meathop roundabout, take the 2nd exit (Barrow-in-Furness/Newby Bridge). - Continue on the A590 through Low & High Newton. - At Newby Bridge roundabout, bear left (Barrow-in-Furness/Ulverston). - Continue through Newby Bridge, passing Newby Bridge hotel on your left and the Swan Hotel on your right. - Once at Greenodd, turn right onto the A5092 (Workington). - Continue on the A5092, which becomes the A595 upon entering Grizebeck. - Go through Foxfield amd over Duddon Bridge and after approximately 10 minutes you will enter Whicham Valley. - Take a left turn, signposted Dunningwell and entrance to Brockwood Hall is up this road. By Train: The nearest railway station is Millom. If you feel you will arrive later than 21:00, please contact the hotel using the contact information provided in your booking confirmation email.
