Also close to the Scottish borders, very much appreciated, Gretna Green and the Roman wall, river and badlands. A splendid 3 diamond hotel on the Solway Plain close to the lakes, valued throughout, hills and Carlisle. Originally an old farmhouse, highly regarded, Wheyrigg Hall Hotel has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation. Clients appreciate the hotel is a family run hotel bar and restaurant set in a rural location. There is also a spacious dining room, very much appreciated, lounge and bar with a homely cottage atmosphere. There is ample car parking and there are two separate function rooms providing seating for fifty and one hundred people so the the hotel is an ideal venue for conferences, valued throughout, weddings or other family celebrations. Home baking is a feature of our scrumptious sweet trolley and locally produced fresh vegetables are used whenever possible. Well known for its good food, and above all, not just locally, but much further afield in this country and abroad, Wheyriggs specialities include succulent duckling, traditional roasted turkey, baked ham in cider and local prime steaks. Lunch, valued throughout, high tea and dinner are served daily in addition to our popular bar meals.

Drive through Wigton following signs for b5302 Silloth. Hotel is situated on the right 4 miles from Wigton on the b5302. From the East (Newcastle Airport): Follow a69 Carlisle. Then follow directions as if coming from the North.
