Some rooms are located in the old coach house, others in the 16th century manor house. Rooms offer pleasant views, with some overlooking the landscaped gardens and the Mendip Hills.

Hotel details

Awarded with 4 AA Guest Hotel Accommodation, the hotel boast high quality bedrooms, unique suites, four-poster beds, sleigh beds, king-size beds, and some rooms have luxurious spa baths. The hotel also features a number of sporting facilities, and its own tennis court. There is an on-site luxury restaurant, Truffles. The Hotel forms the centre of an award winning wedding and corporate venue, and can be booked en mass for business or private occasions.

Food & Beverages

The hotel’s Truffles Restaurant has recently undergone refurbishment and is now open. Evening meals are available from Monday to Friday, from 18:00 to 23:30, with last orders taken at 21:15. The restaurant and bar are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Reception opening times are 8.00 until 18.00 Monday to Saturday and 9.00 until 17.00 on Sundays. Check-in time is from 14.00 and Check out is until 10.30. If you are likely to arrive after reception has closed, please contact the hotel to advise of this.

Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Free private parking is possible on site.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 25.00 will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 25 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
