Area information There are many attractions nearby to ensure exciting trips. The region is ideal for hiking tours e.g. to the nearby castle Wernigeröder that can be reached in a few walking minutes of by tram. The Brocken is the highest and most popular mountain in the Harz region and can be easily reached by the Brocken train. Distances: Hannover: 118 km Magdeburg: 79 km Hamburg: 263 km Berlin: 230 km
