Area information

The famous Rathaus (town hall) on the market place and the narrow and winding alleys with half-timbered buildings are some of the charming features of historic Wernigerode. Discover the castle, which was built around 1110, and take a trip on the narrow-gauge steam trains, which carry visitors up the highest mounatin of the Harz Mountains, the Brocken (1,142 m).
