Recent refurbishment has restored the hotel to its former glory as Wellington's most elegant boutique hotel. The Hotel now offers a choice of 14 individually appointed guest rooms, decorated to reflect the hotel's Victorian origins, while providing all the modern conveniences the discerning traveler expects. Ideal for that romantic weekend break, or for the business traveler looking for accommodation with a difference, some rooms have four poster canopy beds and spa bath ensuites. All rooms have their own direct dial telephone and separate direct dial fax line for either fax or modem use, and are equipped with Sky television.

The Dining Room is a fully licensed restaurant located on the ground floor of the Hotel. In keeping with the rest of the Hotel, the sumptuous decoration of the Victorian era continues through to the Restaurant. With a cosy open fire and sunny deck, the restaurant is the perfect venue for your next dining experience - whatever the time of year. The Shepherds' Bar has recently been restored to reflect its history as one of New Zealand's oldest boutique hotels. Consisting of a main bar area with ajoining lounge area and separate non-smoking snug, the bar has the refined elegance of an English country house hotel. Whether it be for a quiet drink, or for a more lively evening, the Shepherds' Bar is the perfect venue. The main bar area has games machine and a pool table tucked in at the rear.
