For breakfast, very much appreciated, only local high-quality produce is used. Free bicycles and boats can be used to explore the surrounding region. All the rooms and apartments are lovingly decorated with wooden furniture, highly regarded, making them the perfect retreat for your stay. Children can help the farmer milk the cows or feed the other farm animals. The shared meeting point is a mountain hut where a hearty meal will be served. Please note our special autumn offers: For enthusiastic bikers and hikers we offer 3 well-balanced tours, which is easy, valued throughout, medium, difficult, on 3 separate days. The region’s restaurants offer local and seasonal dishes. Our autumn programme also emphasizes culinary pleasures, and above all, from honey to the lake’s fish. The mountain bike week takes place between 20 September and 27 September 2008, valued throughout, the culinary week between 27 September and 04 October 2008, and the hiking week between 04 October and 11 October 2008.

Area information

Lake Weißen, located in the south-west of Carinthia, is a paradise for sport-and nature enthusiasts. Declared a Heilklimatischer Luftkurort (climatic health resort) and awarded the European Prize for Tourism and the Environment, two thirds of the lake shore remain untouched by any sort of developments. Take a swim or dive in the turquoise-coloured water of the lake. Other activities include surfing, fishing, canoeing and hiking. The use of motorboats is forbidden.

Travel information

By car: - Coming from the North/Munich, follow the A10 motorway in the direction of the Salzburg. - Continue in the direction of Gasteinertal, Tauernschleusse, Mallnitz, Möllbrücke and Greifenburg. - Follow the signs to Weißensee. - Coming from the West, drive in the direction of Innsbruck/Felbertauern or the Brenner. - Continue in the direction of Lienz/Oberdrauburg/Greifenburg and then Weißensee. - Coming from the East, follow the Südautobahn (A2) in the direction of Villach/Spittal/Greifenburg until you reach Weißensee. - Coming from the South, drive in the direction of Udine/Tarvisio until exit Gailtal/Hermagor. - Continue in the direction of Weißensee.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

30 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 29 days prior to arrival and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge for cots.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge for extra beds.  All children from 3 to 15 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds.  All older children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
