There are 60 comfortably furnished rooms awaiting you, including 10 spacious "Tiefurt rooms" and one "Schöndorf Suite" with its own sauna. Our rooms offer a wonderful view of the gentle landscape surrounding Weimar, looking onto the Tiefurt palace park or our herb garden and orchard.

Hotel details

The former estate of cavalry captain Carl von Kalckreuth is situated in its own idyllic park, yet very near the local cultural attractions. As a guest at the affectionately decorated Hotel Dorotheenhof, you will feel at home as among good friends. You will be staying in a magnificent location that is directly in the midst of the city of classics. After a day of exploring the history of the great thinkers and writers, you can thoroughly relax and dine in style at the Dorotheenhof. The Rittmeisterstube (Captain’s Parlor) serves wine and dark beer.

Food & Beverages

Indulge in traditional Thuringian cuisine and sample Historische Tafelfreuden - a recipe that goes back the chef of Duchess Anna Amalia. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 to 23:30 and on weekends until 01:00. Enjoy your meal, prepared with fresh herb from the hotel’s vegetable garden, on the terrace or in the winter garden.

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 8.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 2.00 city/tourist tax per room per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 32.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
