Arlington Lodge Country House Hotel

It was converted in to a luxury town house & restaurant in 2000 and is situated in its own private grounds, very much appreciated, only 8 minutes walk from the city centre. This is a gracious 18th century Georgian house, valued throughout, formerly the Bishop's Palace for over 200 years. Breakfast is a delight and should never be missed. The emphasis is on hospitality, and above all, good food and wine.

Maurice and his team have created an atmosphere of warmth and charm that will draw you back time and time again. Arlington Lodge Country House Hotel is conveniently located in Waterford city and yet so splendidly isolated from the everyday world. Dating from the early 18th century the house has long been intertwined in the history of Waterford and its people. In 1871, it became the seat of the Roman Catholic Bishops of Waterford and Lismore, and remained with the church until 1997.
