This historical hotel dating back to 1881 has a truly authentic Dutch feel to it. Visitors appreciate the hotel is located in a prime position in Volendam on the banks of the IJsselmeer. Rooms are generously proportioned and offer fantastic views over the Ijsselmer or Volendam’s famous boulevard on the dike. Each of the 79 luxurious bedrooms have been uniquely decorated and feature authentic Dutch decor. Best Western Hotel Spaander’s famous restaurant offers a delightful menu featuring Volendam and Dutch specialities. The historical towns of Edam and Monnickendam are close by and worth a visit. Travel information Public transport: From Amsterdam CS you take bus 110 to Edam. You get off the bus at the Zeestraat in Volendam. From there it is 5 minutes walk to Best Western Hotel Spaander. Car: From Amsterdam you follow the N247 direction Volendam. When you arrive in Volendam, you drive 3 roundabouts straight on. At the company Kras Recycling you go right. After approximately 2 kilometers you take the first street on your left. Drive straight on, and the parking is at your left side. The parking is free of charge for hotel guests. From Den Oever you follow the A7 direction Amsterdam. Upon Purmerend you follow the N244 direction Volendam. When you arrive in Volendam, you drive 3 roundabouts straight on. At the company Kras Recycling you go right. After approximately 2 kilometers you take the first street on your left. Drive straight on, and the parking is at your left side.
