Formally a school for sea navigation, this cosy hotel still boasts a number of authentic details in the interior of the restaurant, reception and entrance hall. The hotel has been in the same family for many years now, and from the moment you enter the hotel you are greeted by the homely atmosphere of a family-run hotel. Besides luxury, comfort and hospitality, there is still room for personal attention in our hotel. We are aware of the fact that the time you choose to spend on Vlieland and the Wadden should be a moment of rest in your otherwise busy existence. Therefore, let us take care of your needs. We are happy to serve you a cup of coffee, a tasty lunch, or a beautiful glass of wine while you're sitting in front of the fireplace. In case you don't want to miss anything that goes on outside the island, we have provided for an extensive range of newspapers, and a comfortable reading table.

Food & Beverages

As the evening starts to set in, your hosts in our cosy restaurant have already started to cook your meal. Top off a wonderful day on the island by treating yourself to a special diner with a delicious glass of wine, which you can select from our international wine menu. Restaurant de Wadden also serves lunch and dinner for groups. Enjoy a special island drink or night cap at the hotel bar before retreating for the evening.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 1.15 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
