In 2003, we started over this hotel built for the Olympic Games of 1968, and everyday we are improving the quality of our service in order to welcome you with comfort and quietness. Whether you are a hiker, a cyclist or just on vacation, we like you to feel at home and we do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Our mountain hotel is a family hotel with 10 rooms, we can accommodate up to 27 persons. We are located in the hamlet of La Balmette, easily accessible with a car. This is the ideal place to resource oneself. 150 m away, in winter and in summer, you will find a shuttle stop to reach the village and the ski resorts. Our 10 rooms are all equipped with bath or shower, toilets and TV. We are a 2 stars hotel with comfortable equipment. The mattresses of our beds are brand new. According to your needs, you can choose a double or twin room, a single room, a family room for 3 to 5 persons. Some rooms offer a balcony with south exposure and a beautiful view on the garden and nature. Breakfast is served in a restaurant room until 9.30 am. You can enjoy your breakfast on the lovely terrace during summer. Skier, hiker or biker, we have a storage room for your equipment. In the summer time, when you come back to the hotel after your daily activities, you can enjoy our shadowed terrace and taste our home-made pies or our bread with local ham and cheese, a true pleasure! The walkers will find appropriate paths, or if you are in a car we have special itineraries for you, we will give you a lunch package while you are visiting the surroundings. For groups and families, we are happy to answer any questions you might have or to help you with the organization of your stay, to put you in contact with the right people who know more specifically about the area (guides, professionals of the mountain...) Cyclists or VTT (Mountain Bikes) amateurs, La Taiga thinks about you. We are also specialized in bicycles. From the hotel, you can find different roads of various difficulty levels, you will have great day! The hotel will be closed from 29 September 2007, and will be open again on 26 December 2007 for the winter season.

Food & Beverages

Restaurant Vercors et Saveurs Our restaurant is a family one and it seats a maximum of 30 persons to meet our values: attention, listening and quality. We offer a local cuisine, influenced by the region and the mountain. Whenever possible we make use of local products and from producers that have received a label "parc régional du vercors". It is very important for us to be genuine, therefore we want to promote the origin of our products, guarantee their freshness, and offer what is closest to our local production.

Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Free Public parking is possible on site.

Pets are allowed. Charges may be applicable.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 4 days before date of arrival, 40 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 0.60 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
