De Foreesten

Hotel de Foreesten is situated on the border of the village Vierhouten, very much appreciated, in the middle of the green hart of the Veluwe. All the rooms are renovated at the beginning of 2009. In corporation with the VVV, which is Dutch tourist office, there are also a lot of bicycle and hiking routes defined along the most beautiful places in the vicinity. Because of the nearby woods and heath lands, and above all, De Foreesten is surrounded by unique bicycle and hiking routes. If you want to relax, very much appreciated, enjoy the free jacuzzi in the garden. On the sunny and pleasant terrace you can enjoy a drink or choose from the extensive food menu. Of course, highly regarded, you can also visit our brasserie with the cosy seats, open fire and, last but not least, a bar with a vast assortment of drinks. Bathrobes and slippers are available against a charge.

In our attractively decorated à la carte restaurant you can choose from a comprehensive number of dishes. Seasonal dishes are also served, such as asparagus in spring, mussels in late summer and various types of game in the winter. Our hotel can perfectly cater to your needs if you have a celebration, like a reunion, staff party, business meeting or reception. We offer a wide range of possibilities, such as a buffet, three or more course meals and, if the weather gods allow it, a barbecue on the terrace.

Address Gortelseweg 8 8076 PS Vierhouten		Travel information Via A-28: Exit nr. 14 Elspeet-Nunspeet. Exit in the direction of Elspeet. Turn left after app. 2,4 km, in the direction of Vierhouten. Turn left on the crossroads in Vierhouten, in the direction of Gortel. Turn left after app. 300 m, in the direction of Gortel. After app. 100 m you will find Hotel de Foreesten at your right hand side. Via A-50: From direction Arnhem: Exit nr. 26 Vaassen-Terwolde. Turn right in the direction of Vaassen-Emst. Turn left on the roundabout in Emst after app. 4,1 km, direction Vierhouten (Oranjelaan). Continue the road (truns into Gortelseweg). At the sign Vierhouten you will see Hotel de Foreesten at your left hand. From Zwolle: Exit nr. 27 Epe-Nunspeet. Turn left in the direction of Epe. Turn left at the traffic lights, direction Emst. Turn right after app. 1,8 km on roundabout in Emst, direction Vierhouten (Oranjelaan). Continue the road (turns into Gortelseweg). At the sign Vierhouten you will see Hotel de Foreesten at your left hand. By public transport: Get off on station Nunspeet. Take bus 112 to Elspeet (there is also a train taxi to Vierhouten) Get off at stop Horsterhoek Vierhouten. Walk in the direction of (Elspeterbosweg). Turn right after app. 300 m (Gortelseweg) After 100 m you will find Hotel de Foreesten at your right hand side.
Area information Hotel De Foreesten is situated on the edge of the village Vierhouten in the midst of the Groene Hart (green hart) of the north Veluwe. The hotel is surrounded by unique cycling and hiking areas, as it is located amidst the stretched out forests and heaths. In the close environment there are imitation concealment huts that are reminiscent of the Verscholen Dorp. During the Second World War this village of semi-subterranean huts was populated by 80 to 120 people in hiding. In association with the Tourist Information Office, many cycling and hiking routes have been outlined along the most beautiful places in the neighbourhood. On certain set days we offer you the option of going on a hiking trip with the forester (if there are sufficient entries). This hike will lead you through a nature reserve that is generally closed off for the public and where you are very likely to encounter various types of game.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 15 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 35 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of the first night will be charged. If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 85 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

6 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. EUR 1.25 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Dinner costs EUR 19.00 per person.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
