Area information The hotel is ideally located for a stay in Vienna. The ninth district is within easy walking distance of the first district, home to many of the city’s most popular attractions. Nearby tram connections can take you quickly to all areas of the city. There is a vibrant restaurant scene just around the corner. The Sigmund Freud Museum is also within walking distance. Lovers of art and culture should not miss the nearby Volksoper and the Palais Liechtenstein. Opposite the baroque palace, right behind the hotel, you will find the Strudelhofstiege, a beautiful Art Nouveau staircase which became famous in 1951 when Heimito von Doderer wrote a novel of the same name. Travel information By public transport: The closest stop to the hotel is “Spitalgasse/Währinger Str.” on tram lines 5/33/37/38/40/41/42. From here you are a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
