Area information "Tavern in a desolate area" is the ancient meaning of the name Baraque de Fraiture. The Baraque is famous because of its altitude: 652 metres above sea level. Thanks to this altitude the location is a real attraction when the Ardennes are covered with snow. The langlauf pistes start from the hotel’s garden and the ski piste is just 500 metres from the hotel. The hotel is situated in a woody area in the municipality of Vielsalm (15 km) and is easily reachable via the E25, Route de Soleil. The location is perfect to visit some towns nearby: Bastogne, La Roche and Durbuy. Several beautiful hike and mountain bike tours start directly from the hotel’s garden.
