By rail: The City Hotel is situated strategically for the two railway stations: Ferrovie Nord Milano and Ferrovie dello Stato, which are close together and both easily reached on foot.
By car: Follow motorway A8 Milano Laghi to the end, which is at a traffic light in the city (Via Magenta). To reach City Hotel, drive straight on and pass through another two traffic lights. At the second of these, turn right into Via Avegno, then immediately right again into Via Mazzini, and then right again into Via Orrigoni. The Hotel stands on the corner with Via Medaglie d'Oro. The underground garage can be accessed from Via Orrigoni, before the traffic light, at No. 12 on the right.
From the airport of Malpensa:
By car: From Malpensa (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) take the motorway branch to the junction with the A8 Milano - Laghi motorway, at Busto Arsizio. Turn left toward Varese. Take the A8 motorwayto Varese, which ends right in the centre of the city (Via Magenta), at a traffic light. To reach City Hotel, drive straight on and pass another two traffic lights. By rail: Take the Malpensa Express shuttle train that follows the Ferrovie Nord railway track to Saronno; change at Saronno and take a train to Varese. At Varese, the Ferrovie Nord station is close to the Ferrovie dello Stato station, just a few minutes by foot from the City Hotel, which stands on the corner of Via Medaglie D'Oro and Via Orrigoni. Alternatively, take a taxi or the Shuttle Bus from Malpensa to the Ferrovie dello Stato station in Gallarate, from where there is a frequent train service to Varese (every 20 - 30 min).
