The exhuberant Limburg is known for its exceptional kitchen and the chefs in Hotel de Burghoeve prolong this tradition. Area information Southern Limburg If you have ever been to Limburg, you will know that it is very untypical of the Netherlands. The dazzlingly beautiful landscape, with its hills and valleys, reminds many people of holidays in Southern Europe. Cool, babbling brooks and delightful tracks and cycle paths can be found everywhere in this area. The welcoming hills of Southern Limburg include the Vaalserberg – at 321 meters, it is the highest point in the Netherlands. Central Limburg has its green, water-rich Maas Valley, while Northern Limburg has the Peel and expansive woods and heaths. Together, they form a combination of varied landscapes unique in the Netherlands and make Limburg the province par excellence for tourism and recreation. Many sights and attractions can be found in the immediate surroundings of the hotel. For example, a 17th-century water mill, the Schaelsberg with its hermitage, and a herb garden in the old Dutch style with hundreds of medicinal plants. From the hotel there are many routes by car or bicycle that take you past castles, mansions and famous country estates. Enjoyment fit for a prince!
