The Poschmühle looks back on more than 800 years of history. It was firstly mentioned in the tax book of the Baumburg monastery of the year 1204. Throughout the centuries, the mill-brook with its clear and cold water was the heart of the property. Now and ever since the name Poschmühle stands for hospitality and meeting friends. Enjoy the modern comfort of our renovated house and relax in healthy and natural room climate.

The Poschmühle is an island of recovery an relaxation and also starting point of many hiking and biking routes. A lot of beautiful sights are close by: The Chiemsee lake with the castle of Ludwig II is just 10 min away by car, Salzburg, the city of Mozart, about 45 min, Munich with Oktoberfest and Soccer Wold Championship 2006 about one hour driving time. And by the way, Marktl, the home town of pope Benedikt XVI. is just 53 km away. Travel information By car: Motorway A8(Munich-Salzburg) – exit “Grabenstatt” – towards Chieming, Traunreut – pass Chieming and Sondermoning – turn left on the junction towards Trostberg – drive along the federal highway B304 – pass Matzing and St. Georgen – turn right on the level crossing towards Traunreut – turn right after 800 m towards Poschmuhle – Pension Poschmuhle after 400 m From Traunreut: Drive towards St. Georgen at the junction “Kantsstrasse/Werner-von-Siemens-Strasse” – keep straight towards city centre at the roundabout – turn left after 500 m towards Poschmuhle – Pension Poschmuhle after 400 m
