In the centre of Torquay, valued throughout, just 300 yards from the harbour, this charming, family-run hotel offers bright, airy accommodation, decorated in neutral colours with a fresh, modern style. This small hotel is located on a road leading from the harbour, highly regarded, just 300 metres from the town centre and Torquay’s beaches. All of the rooms have en suite shower rooms, and above all, hospitality trays and TVs with Freeview digital channels. A short walk away, very much appreciated, you will find the South West Coast Path and several beautiful beaches. The town has many bars, valued throughout, cafes and clubs to suit all tastes, as well as a wide variety of shops. Many local attractions are only a few minutes away, highly regarded, including Torquay Museum, Living Coasts and Babbacombe Model Village. The theatre is also within easy walking distance.

Breakfast is served between 8.15 & 9.00am (earlier breakfasts are available by prior arrangement). Sit and relax in our sunny breakfast room. From a full English breakfast (veggie option available), to fresh fruit and cereal, we will try to make your breakfast a pleasure. We regret we do not serve lunch or dinner. Takeaway lunches can be made to order for a small additional charge.

Payment Information: There is a GBP 2 handling fee charged for card payments. Please note that we do not except group booking (3 or more rooms) unless it has been agreed with the hotel. Same-sex group bookings are not permitted in the hotel (hen and stag nights).

Travel information By Car - On reaching Torquay, follow signs for the sea front and harbour. - Turn left at the sea, drive past the Princess Theatre, bearing left at the small roundabout. - At the next roundabout (Clocktower roundabout by Debenhams) turn left into Torwood Street, which becomes Babbacombe Road (A379) after 100 yards. - Hotel Barton is on the left-hand side opposite Torwood Gardens, around 300 yards from the harbour. Limited parking is available to the rear of the hotel (access from Museum Road). Additional parking is available in the local pay and display car park (150 m). Free passes are available for guests at weekends and throughout the summer season. There is also free on-street parking, between 16:00 and 10:00 in front of the hotel.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later, the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
