Kadyny Country Club Hotel

Kadyny Country Club Hotel is a one hour drive from Gdansk, very much appreciated, 15 minutes from Elblag, 40 minutes from the Malbork castle and 15 minutes from the Frombork cathedral. It's a four star hotel surrounded by woods, valued throughout, situated 800 metres from the beach of Vistula Bay and adjoining the former summer palace of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany.

Hotel details

Kadyny Country Club is situated in the Elblag Uplands in Poland on the edge of the National Park "Kadyny Woods", 19 km from Elbląg and about 75 kms from Gdansk. In the Kadyny Woods you will find not only the largest oak tree in Poland but also many varieties of birds trees and fauna as well as the rare Sika deer which was presented to Emperor Wilhelm II by the Japanese Emperor, over one hundred years ago. The woods make a fantastic setting for a walk and you may meet some wild boar, deer or pheasant on the way. Alonside the hotel is the former summer palace of Emperor Wilhelm II of Germany. It is a great place to unwind after a day of sightseeing with an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, dry and steam saunas, small gym, Jacuzzi, and mountain bikes. Opposite the hotel you will find stables where you can rent a horse or take a lesson. The characteristic “Distillery Restaurant” was once Kaiser Wilhelm's vodka distillery.

Area information Worth seeing in the area: Gdansk (70 km) - Gdansk has a very beautiful Hanseatic Old Town and a very colourful history. It was here that the first shots were fired in the Second World War and also here that the Solidarity movement brought about the beginnings to the fall of Communism in Poland and Eastern Europe. Gdansk and her International Airport with ever increasing direct international flights are only an hour away. Malbork (50 km) - the largest Teutonic castle in Europe and is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Frombork (15 km) - fortified cathedral and home to the famous astronomer Nicholas Copernicus who discovered that the Earth revolves around the Sun. The Elblag-Ostroda Canal ( 40 km) - this unique canal was designed for Kaiser Wilhelm and it is the only canal in the World where boats are pulled uphill on rails to overcome a difference in water levels of 100 metres. Kaliningrad ( Konigsburg), Russia - a mere 75 minute boat ride from Frombork will take you to the centre of Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave. Passports must be organised in advance. Kadyny Country Club Hotel can organise all excurions to the above attractions. Travel information By plane: The hotel can organise a transfer or help with a hire car. By car: From Gdansk follow for the direction of Warsaw. When you get to Kazmierzowo ( 2 km from Elblag) on the E77 turn left, Follow the road around a little to the left, and go over the new bridge. At the lights turn left and follow directions for Kadyny ( 14 km).
