Rooms

All double rooms at Brambles have private facilities (a bath or shower) and views overlooking the garden. Facilities include a flat-screen TV with Freeview, DVD/ CD player and digital radio. A refreshments tray features tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit and herb tea, biscuits, sweets and bottled water. Please see individual room descriptions for a complete list of facilities on offer. All prices (based on 2 adults sharing) include breakfast, either a full English or continental option with freshly baked croissants and Danish pastries. Rooms will be allocated on arrival.

Hotel details

Travel cots, folding beds for children, highchairs and booster seats are available, if required. Brambles also offer a Baby Pack, which includes a baby bath, a changing mat, a food warmer and other useful things to help parents minimise what they need to bring with them when away from home with a little one. Wine glasses, a cork screw, an iron and ironing board, a sewing repair kit and shoe cleaning products are all available on request. If you are booking for a special occasion, you may want to consider the Celebration Pack, which includes flowers, champagne and chocolates delivered to your room. Brambles Bed and Breakfast at Whitnage, near Tiverton in Devon has a large private garden for you to enjoy. While taking a pleasant stroll around the garden, you can admire the impressive views of the hills and the valley. All special requests must be made at the time of booking and are subject to availability. Any additional costs will be due for settlement at the time of check-in.

Food & Beverages

A freshly cooked full English breakfast is available each morning. Alternatively (if ordered the night before) a continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants and Danish pastries is available instead. Any special dietary requirements should be mentioned at the time of booking. Changes to the breakfast cannot be guaranteed but will be attempted, depending on notice. All rooms have full refreshment trays with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit and herbal teas, bottled water, biscuits and sweets.

Check-In: Usual check-ins are between 16:30 and 19:00. Early or late check-ins must be arranged by telephone 48 hours in advance whenever possible, as staff are not usually on site. If you are booking and arriving on the same day, check-in must be arranged by telephone. Please contact Brambles using the details provided on your booking confirmation. Prior to travelling to Brambles, ensure that a copy of the written directions have been printed off. All guests are advised not to rely on satellite navigation systems. Additional Cancellation Information: In the event you cancel a booking or cut short your stay, the following applies: More than 28 days’ notice: we will refund your deposit in full, less an administration charge of GBP 5 to cover card charges. Less than 28 days’ notice: we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if we are able to do so we will refund your deposit, less an administration charge of GBP 5. If we are unable to re-let the accommodation, the deposit will not be refunded. Less than 72 hours’ notice: we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if we are able to do so we will refund your deposit, less an administration charge of GBP 5. If we are unable to re-let the accommodation, the full cost of the accommodation booked will be charged to the card provided for the initial deposit. In the event of no-shows: the full cost of the accommodation will be charged to the card provided for the initial deposit.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 28 days before date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 5.00 will be charged.  If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

50 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children from 0 to 2 years are charged GBP 7.50 per night and person for cots.  All children from 2 to 17 years are charged GBP 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
