Area information Timisoara is located on the western side of Romania and over 500 kilometres from the capital city Bucharest. However, this smaller city has seen rapid growth and development, and has always been known as an important economic centre, with its international links and Begal canal. Some interesting sights in Timisoara include: The Orthodox Cathedral (2km) – This unique cathedral has 11 towers and its unusual design is worthy of a photograph or two. Poporului Park (20m)– The hotel is situated right beside this park where you can stroll and soak in the atmosphere around you. Travel information By Car (from Bucharest): - Follow the E70 from Bucharest to Pietsti - From here, take up the E 81, through Ramnica Valcea to Sibiu. - Then follow the E68 through Deva and Arad - From here, take the E671 south towards Timisoara. You can follow the E70 from Bucharest all the way to Timisoara. Either option is a very long drive.
