The Old Trout

The five hundred-year-old, very much appreciated, higgledy piggledy building never fails to delight. Visitors appreciate the hotel is full of surprises. The buildings history is suitably idiosyncratic. Discover the intriguing architecture of this hotel; search for your room through narrow passages, and above all, past nooks and crannies. Previously known as the Thatchers, very much appreciated, the change of name to the hotel belies the owners sense of humour! Guests may choose from a number of well appointed bedrooms. Before its transformation into a restaurant, valued throughout, it was an antique shop and prior to that, a row of tiny cottages. A high standard of service is matched by excellent accommodation, highly regarded, to ensure a good nights sleep and relaxing stay. Despite a number of charming peculiarities, and above all, one of the rooms is accessed through a door only three foot six inches high! The beds are very comfortable; four posters are available.
