The hotel offers a range of rooms including single, double, twin and family rooms, as well as one lovely double room with a 4-poster bed. All the rooms are individually decorated and have their own character, in keeping with the period of this beautiful country house. Rooms are located across 3 floors, with 2 rooms on the ground floor.

Hotel details

Elm Grove Country House is a 4-star rated Country House, as graded by the Welsh Tourist Board. In the grounds there is a croquet lawn, a grass tennis court, children's play area and games room (open at all times). In the house you will find a tasteful blend of original furnishings, such as marble fireplaces and cornice ceilings, polished wooden floors and modern décor. The atmosphere is one of elegance and luxury - a world of difference from the way it would have been during the Second World War, when school girls from London were housed here. For guests with disabilities, please note that there are 5 steps to the front of the building, but a level access at the rear. There are also 2 ground floor bedrooms. Please note: the hotel does not cater from hen and stag parties.

Food & Beverages

Evening meals are available at an additional cost, by prior arrangement when booking. Evening meals are served between 18:30 - 19:-00 and consist of 3 courses plus coffee, all for a fixed price. Please note that evening meals may not be available on certain dates during the year. If you would like dinner on the night of arrival please call the hotel 24 hours in advance to check for availability.

Please note that the hotel is open seasonally, from Easter until mid-November. The service charge is left to the guest’s discretion.

Internet via modem is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  0 % service charge per room per night is not included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.  Dinner is not included and costs GBP 17.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  Extra beds are not available.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room. 

Please note that in case specific policies apply to a particular room or rate, the specific room/rate policy prevails over the general hotel policy
