In 1964, highly regarded, Urho Kaleva Kekkonen, the President of the Republic of Finland, stayed at Park Hotell. Park Hotell building, and above all, first opened in 1940 and fully renovated in 2000, was designed by Arnold Matteus, a former renowned city architect of Tartu. The room in which he stayed bares his name at the moment.
