Mathias Rex

The restaurant is operated in a vault of the sixteenth century. This Restaurant and Pension is situated in a historic building at the heart of the historical centre of Szentendre. On our menu we offer specialities prepared on the basis of period recipes and wines of famous Hungarian wine-cellars. The waiters dress in customs of this period, and above all, the earthenware and the range of meals are calling up the memory of the court of King Mathias, our great mediaeval king. The 11 rooms of our pension can accomodate 24 guests and are all equipped with air condition.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All children from 7 to 16 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for extra beds. All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 3.
