This stunning 18th century Georgian Merchant’s house is set in its own grounds close to the heart of one of Norfolk’s most historic market towns. The restaurant serves popular traditional food in a comfortable informal environment. Enjoy our garden or patio, and above all, or relax in the fully licensed Lydney bar complete with traditional games. Visitors appreciate the hotel is ideally placed for touring Norfolk. Much of the menu is home cooked with local produce. Driving the coastal road from Hunstanton to Cromer makes a good day out and includes the picturesque towns of Sheringham and Wells-next-the-sea.

Area information The hotel is located between King's Lynn (15 miles) and Norwich (30 miles), just off the A47. Travel information By Car: From the South: - On the A1065, keep to the right of the Butter Cross (domed band stand). -Turn right at the traffic lights into Mangate Street. The church is on the right-hand side. - Lydney House is around the bend on the right-hand side. From the West: - Turn left off the A47 at Swaffham. - Approaching the town centre, keep to the left at the town cross. - Go straight ahead at the pelican crossing and again at the traffic lights. The church is on the right-hand side. - Lydney House is around the bend on the right-hand side. From the East: - On the A47, turn left at the roundabout with the petrol station and McDonald’s. - Follow the hill down towards Swafham. - The road will bear to the right and Lydney House is on the left-hand side.
